The Feast of the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple celebrates an early episode in the life of Jesus, and falls on or around 2 February. In the churches of the Anglican Communion it is known by various names, including The Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in The Temple (Candlemas). In Mexico, Candlemas (Spanish: Día de La Candelaria) is celebrated at a gathering with Tamales.

And so it was that members of Christ Church By The Sea gathered for the second year at a member's home on February 2, 2009 to celebrate the holiday with tamales and fellowship.
